Library Rules


The College offer well-equipped and spacious library-cum-reading room to the students, faculty to utilize their free time to enrich and enhance their knowledge. An efficient librarian is always there to facilitate the students, faculty in finding and selecting the book from the library. Fresh papers and periodicals are always on the racks for the students, faculty. To keep the library smoothly, the students, faculty is expected to keep in mind the following points:

  • All Students, faculty and other staff shall be the members of the library.
  • The library shall remain open from 9.00 am to 4.00 pm. on all working days.
  • Library book will be issued to the library card which will be stamped by librarian every time a book is borrowed or returned.
  • The student whose library card has been lost will be held responsible for all books issued on such card.
  • A book shall be issued only for a fortnight. Defaulters shall have to pay a fine of Re. 1/- per volume per day.
  • Students will not be allowed to carry their bags inside the library should be placed at property counter.
  • Books from Book Bank will be issued to the needy and deserving students only on the recommendation of the head of the department.
  • Strict silence shall be maintained in the reading halls of the library.
  • Undergraduate students can borrow up to three books at a time.
  • Post Graduates students can borrow up to five books at a time.
  • Staff of the college can borrow up to 8 books at a time.
  • Books of reference, dictionaries and current issues of periodicals will not be issued to students. However, they can sit in the library and read them.
